Labai prasta. Visą socialinę programą dariausi pati.
Įspūdžiai apie kelionę iki vietos:
Be nesklandumų. Iš oro uosto pasiėmė kontaktinis asmuo ir nuvežė iki bendrabučio.
Viskas, kas netilpo, bet verta paminėti:
Jei norite pamatyti tikrų tikriausią arabišką gyvenima, net nedvejodami vykite i Kuveitą.

Įspūdžiai apie šalį ir miestą:
The country was very unique and the weather was hot. What surprised me a lot about Kuwait was that people  were so considerate, helpful and very eager to please in every way. I guess it was because their country isn’t so big and they don’t get much tourists who visit often, so they want to show what an amazing hometown they have. A big thing in Kuwait was food!!! People there really love their food. Portions were enormous and it’s so obvious that most of the people there are obese or suffer from several commodities due to eating a lot and barely moving, but I have to say that Kuwait has the most exquisite and delicious food I have ever tasted in my life!!!!! FACT!! After my practice at the hospital I used to gather with the other four exchange students and we used to go to the malls to eat and to shop, then go sightseeing, to the museums, mosques and many funny activities which were organized by the social program. It is a warning that it’s very hot during July/August so a lot of people were so surprised that people want to come to Kuwait during this period. Transportation was provided by the dorms so we rarely took taxis and we used to go to the hospital by bus. It’s not a cheap country, but if you want to try their amazing food it will become expensive.
Įspūdžiai apie praktiką:
I had my practice in General Internal Medicine, it was a very hectic department, my supervisor was quite strict so I had to be there everyday from 7.30a.m. till 2p.m., sometimes less. It depended on when we would finish the ward rounds, but generally I was there 6-7 hours per day. I mostly did observations and many discussions during rounds, I also got my own patient to look after, so everyday I had to see my patient, record the new complaints and follow up my patient. During  rounds I had to present my case to the doctor, trainees and other specialists. I observed many procedures such as insertion of NGT, folley catheter etc. My doctor used to check my practical skills how to examine the patient by interviewing, doing inspection, palpation, percussion, auscultation and reading ECG’s. My tutor always explained everything for me and when he got busy I was able to ask younger doctors and trainees to teach me and show me the procedures.
Įspūdžiai apie apgyvendinimą
ir kitas buities smulkmenas:
I stayed in an all girls dormitory, I had 4 other exchange students with me. Each of us had our own room and we shared a bathroom. The dormitory was 15 minutes from the hospital.
Įspūdžiai apie maitinimą:
We used to get meals 3 times a day. It was plenty of food, enough to feed a family. The dorms would put our meals in boxes and we would eat it together before and after we come back from hospital. Half of the time we couldn’t even eat most of the food and we would give it to porters or workers in the dorms or in the hospital instead of wasting the food and they were so grateful. It was nice to see how such a small thing would help others and put a smile on their faces.
Įspūdžiai apie socialinę programą:
We had a social program on weekends, it was provided by our contact persons from Kuwait. They were so nice and of course we visited places like museums, but we had to pay for it.
Įspūdžiai apie kelionę iki vietos:
I was travelling by plane, so it was quite expensive. I travelled from Dublin to Kuwait and had transit in Abu Dhabi. The tickets cost me about 900 euro. Local students picked me up from the airport when I arrived.
Viskas, kas netilpo, bet verta paminėti:
Food was something to die for!!!!!!! Funny thing was, that you can’t swim in bikinis there, you have to wear leggings and a t-shirt. The doctors in the hospital were so king and helpful to us, and I learnt a lot from many different doctors.
